Good Environmental Trading Practices
Committed to excellence in environmental practice, Katron Creative has established procedures to promote continuous improvement in our environmental trading standards.
Staff are encouraged to think laterally and offer suggestions for further enhancement of environmental practices.
We aim to Recycle towards Zero Waste including all:-
- Paper and Cardboard products
- Toner/Ink Cartridges
- Printing Consumables & Equipment
- Co-mingle Products including : Glass; Plastics; and Metals.
We focus on:-
Energy Reduction
Through an ongoing self auditing process, utilising guidelines from Energy SA, Katron Creative pays close attention to all facets of energy usage, including:
- Low Wattage Office Lighting and Equipment;
- Computing and Printing equipment with Power Save and/or Automatic Sleep modes for periods of non-use;
- Computer and Office Equipment shut down at the conclusion of each working day;
- Programmed Air Conditioning system operating to a base office temperature of 24ºC (Summer) and 22°C (Winter);
- Careful consideration of draft exclusion, insulation and regular equipment maintenance for enhanced efficiency;
- Low water use appliances and taps to reduce our use of precious natural resources
Consumables Reduction
- Primary printing equipment operate with ‘Toner Save’ mode for internal document printing;
- Duplexing of documents is used to reduce paper usage.
